Welcome to the new Ministry of Foreign Affairs Clean-Tech newsletter. In the 1950's Israel developed the household solar water heater, making Israel the leading country in household usage of sunlight for heating.
In the 1980's the Luz Company installed the first solar power plant in California's Mohave Desert. This green-energy heritage together with scarce natural resources and a very strong hi-tech industry have made Clean-Tech a focal point in Israel's economic and environmental agenda.

American Monsanto Collaborates with Israeli Evogene on Plant Yield and Environmental Stress Research
American Monsanto Company and Israeli Evogene Ltd. have entered a five-year research and development collaboration to identify key plant genes related to yield, environmental stress and fertilizer utilization. LeFleur Transportation to Use GreenRoad Technologies’ Safety Center
American LeFleur Transportation, developer of a comprehensive human service transportation system, has announced that it is about to add Israeli GreenRoad Technologies’ Safety Center to its entire fleet of more than 300 vehicles. GreenRoad’s Safety Center will increase the safety of LeFleur’s fleet, improve the quality of its services, strengthen the level of driver training - all while reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
